Pixels of the Past is an open-source, non-commercial project celebrating Australian-made video games. The project enables players to "jump" through reimagined levels, collect fun facts, and discover the legacy of classic Aussie games in this playful tribute to Australia’s gaming history!

The Bean's Quest Edition lets players explore a platforming level inspired by the original Bean's Quest(2011), collecting facts about the game along the way.

Bean's Quest Original 

Bean’s Quest is a colorful 2D platformer developed by Australian indie studio Kumobius. Released in 2011, the game follows Emilio, a boy cursed into the form of a bouncing bean, on a quest to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. With retro-inspired pixel art, catchy chiptune music, and a unique always-bouncing mechanic, Bean’s Quest delivers a fresh twist on classic platforming gameplay across multiple worlds and challenging levels.
